Hi, I’m Liz.

Brooklyn born, New Jersey made — and somewhere in between, I became the kind of person whose German Shepherd has final say over everything.

That’s Charlie. He came into my life in June 2020, right when the world went quiet, and he has been running the show ever since. He is six years old, devastatingly handsome according to everyone who meets him, and absolutely convinced that his full-time job is keeping me safe, on schedule, and preferably within his line of sight at all times. I am, apparently, a very difficult human to manage.

I’m a first generation Ecuadorian American, and I’ve always been someone who leads with heart. So when it came time to start this blog, I knew I wanted to create something genuine. I thought about what I actually love — dance floors, classic films, real wellness, history worth knowing, and life with a 90-pound German Shepherd who thinks he is the director of everything — and I started there.

Every recommendation you find here is something I genuinely stand behind — something I’ve tried, researched, or would use myself. No shortcuts, no guesswork. Just honest stories and things I’d actually tell a friend about. That’s the only way this felt right to me.
